You will love the jungle at Bang Par waterfall. The jungle area has lovely sounds. Here you can hear the water streaming past you crashing and falling on the rock bed. You will also love the sounds of the monkeys in the woods. You will see many beautiful butterflies here. They will come right up to you and if you are still they may attempt to land on you. You will love the trees that owed above you from the mountains surrounding you. The woods are thick and lush. The greenery is stunning and it is everywhere your eyes fall. It can be hot in Thailand but here you feel very shaded from the sun’s heat. The humidity is still present.

Many of the Thai locals visit these parks to enjoy a picnic or a swim as well. I saw a few tourists but not many. This is also a great spot for photo opportunities. You will feel undisturbed and quite relaxed. You will love moving water running over you. I take every opportunity like this to enjoy what nature offers. Pools are nice but they do not compare to places like this.

If you decide to swim in Bang Pae waterfall take precaution

If you decide to swim please note there are no lifeguards present. There are several naturally shallow areas you can swim in. however, in the largest waterfall where I was swimming the water was quite deep and the force of the waterfall could be felt. Keep in mind this is a mountainous area and there are rocks formations below the water. To me, most were obvious to see and easily avoidable. Still, you should navigate those carefully. When I was swimming there were others swimming around me. I was not alone. In America, we tend to take chances that are risky. Thai people assume that if you are swimming in a waterfall you must already know what you are doing.

This is very common and this is an excellent place to have a picnic. If you have your food with you there is no rush to leave when you get hungry you can really relax and enjoy your stay.
