We booked through Maan Kayaking and were really impressed with Maan’s informative explanations of the caves and the flora and wildlife that live around them. It was a fun and informative experience.

What to Expect Kayaking Lot Cave

Your kayaking tour will last around two hours. During that time, you will kayak upstream to Lot Cave seeing the fascinating stalactites and stalagmites. You will learn how one stalactite and stalagmite fused together creating a column. By the column, there’s even a rock that looks like a mermaid. It’s amazing to see what hundreds of thousands of years of dripping water can create!

Once you paddle through the cave, the journey is just beginning. You will also explore the beauty of the mangrove forest, exploring the unique trees and rock formations of the area. The best part is you will pass through Lot Cave a second time to get out. We loved having two opportunities to explore this cave.

Your last stop will be Pee Hua Toe Cave. People used to live in this cave over 3000 years ago and you can still see their cave drawings on the roof of the cave. It was so interesting to explore the unique rock formations and cave drawings in Pee Hua Toe Cave. It was such a fun adventure!

How Difficult Is Kayaking Lot Cave

Kayaking Lot Cave - Fun Things to Do in Krabi Thailand

Kayaking to Lot Cave is moderately difficult because you will be paddling against the current for the first 15-20 minutes. Our tour guide went at a slow pace that was easy to keep up with, so it was not a problem at all even for a beginner.

Once you reach the cave and the mangrove forest, the current becomes less strong and much easier to paddle through. Returning to the pier is the easiest part of the tour because you will be kayaking with the current, so the water will drift you back to the pier with almost no effort at all.
